We enhance household food security, nutrition and income by equipping smallholder farming families with modernized, climate-smart agricultural systems and sustainable farming practices.
Uganda's smallholder farmers produce the majority of the nation's food, yet many struggle with poor yields, unpredictable weather and limited market access. Our Agriculture and Food Security Programme addresses these challenges head-on by providing training, improved inputs, and connections to markets. We promote climate-smart techniques such as drought-resistant seed varieties, water harvesting, crop rotation, and organic soil management. Farmers are also trained in post-harvest handling, value addition, and cooperative marketing so they can earn fairer prices for their produce.
